Historias para no olvidar.
Unforgettable Stories, Tribute book
"Medellín Abraza su Historia" (Medellín Embraces Its History) was an institutional strategy by the Mayor’s Office of Medellín, created to honor the memory of the victims of narcoterrorism and to teach new generations about the city’s history. Its purpose was to build a collective memory that contributes to non-repetition.
As part of this strategy, high-impact content was developed, including the book A Story Not to Be Forgotten: a chronology that traces the pain, the resistance, and the urgency of building a more just present with greater opportunities—one in which that history of violence no longer has a place.
Medellín Abraza su Historia  is an initiative born from a deep reflection on the city's recent and painful past, and the reasons why this capital has managed to rise after its darkest hours. Memory and legality are the two guiding principles of this alliance, led by the Mayor’s Office of Medellín and supported by key institutional, private-sector, and community partners.
